  • Product Type: Medical Oxygen Regulator / Flowmeter Assembly

  • Pressure Gauge Range: 0 to 250 kg/cm² (inner red scale) / 0 to 3500 Lbs/in² (outer black scale)

  • Flowmeter Range: 0 to 15 Liters Per Minute (LPM) calibrated rotameter tube

  • Humidifier Bottle Capacity: Graduated up to 250 ml (with clearly marked "MAX WATER LEVEL" indicator line)

  • Control Mechanism: Top rotary control knob for precise pressure/flow adjustment

  • Outlet Connector: Barbed tubing nozzle for standard oxygen tubing connection

  • Construction: Heavy-duty chrome-plated brass body with a durable clear plastic flow column and humidifier bottle

Here is the step-by-step guide to using a medical oxygen regulator with a flowmeter and humidifier bottle:

Step 1: Assembly & Setup

  • Fill the Humidifier: Unscrew the plastic humidifier bottle, fill it with distilled or sterile water up to the marked "MAX WATER LEVEL" line (approx. 200–250 ml), and screw it tightly back onto the flowmeter base.

  • Attach to Cylinder: Connect the regulator’s inlet nut securely to the main valve of the medical oxygen cylinder using an appropriate wrench. Ensure the connection is tight to prevent leaks.

  • Connect Tubing: Push your oxygen tubing (nasal cannula or oxygen mask) firmly onto the barbed outlet nozzle on the side of the humidifier cap.

Step 2: Operation

  • Open Main Cylinder Valve: Slowly turn the main cylinder valve key counter-clockwise to open the gas supply. Check the circular pressure gauge to confirm the cylinder pressure.

  • Adjust Flow Rate: Turn the top rotary control knob slowly to adjust the oxygen flow. Watch the indicator ball inside the vertical flowmeter tube until it aligns with your prescribed liters per minute (e.g., 1–15 LPM).

  • Verify Oxygen Flow: Ensure bubbles appear in the water bottle, indicating proper oxygen humidification and flow through the tubing.

Step 3: Shutting Down

  • Close Cylinder Valve: Fully close the main valve on the top of the oxygen tank first.

  • Bleed Trapped Gas: Allow the remaining oxygen in the lines to vent through the flowmeter until the pressure gauge drops to zero.

  • Turn Off Control Knob: Close the rotary control knob on the regulator once all gas has escaped.

Safety Precaution: Keep all equipment away from open flames, sparks, heat sources, oils, and greases. Never overtighten valves.
